That looks very familiar! My 3 year old had this look going on after a summer of swimming everyday. Here's what we have been doing lately and it has seemed to calm her hair down...start with a good trim to remove any damaged ends. 2-3 times a week we use Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner. Before brushing in the morning I spray her hair down with Suave detangler.
Oh how I love those pictures. She is the makeover queen, hands down.
She also looks like she has super fine hair, just like Avery. Biosilk works for us. I put it on after a bath, and then some more in the morning to comb out the tangles.
Um, or I suppose you could go the wig route suggested above. For the 3 year old. Yeah.
I use Suave Kid's hair detangler stuff on Grace. Usually condition her hair, too. Of course, Grace has the straightest hair ever so I'm not sure how you'd deal with this. :)
My youngest (2 yrs) has curly hair. We let it dry naturally (no brushing, just combing). Then we put Circle of Friends Mousse Foam (basically a kid's hair product found in salons) on it with a little water and it curls it up nicely instead of the frizz. Conditioner is good too! I have curly hair and have to do the same as mentioned above. :) Air drying is better than blow drying and lots of brushing!
Oh my word. Cracks me up. My kids have fine hair, so they get some pretty good rat's nests too. We like that Suave detangling spray, smells nice at least.
Oh my goodness what cute pictures. That first one is priceless! If you go to our website econaturalsoap.com and read about our shampoo bar and think you might like to try it on her hair I would be happy to send you a bar to try,

ReplyDeleteMine has naturally curly , aka frizz, so I use a leave in conditioner on it after washing. It reduces the look you have pictured... Good luck!!

ReplyDeleteTry Hair One (you can get in on Amazon). It's a cleansing conditioner, like Wen, so it doesn't suds up, but it keeps the frizzies down :)
ReplyDeleteSuper funny :) Up and Up detangler...Target...cheaper than Johnson's ( I stock up ), smells great, works great. Go get some!
ReplyDeleteI love "It's A 10" leave in conditioner. My niece and daughter both have flyaway mops and "10" keeps it more under control.
