After I put the kids to bed last night, Elijah (5 year old) woke up screaming hysterically. Went in the room to find him walking around on his bed crying. I carried him to my room because I didn't want to wake up Lyds. I sat on Shiloh's "man chair" and held him while he sobbed. I said, "Bad dream?" He said "Yes!"
Then I felt the warmth. He was peeing on me! So I carried him to bathtub and we hopped in it. We sat in the tub (in pee clothes) and he continued to cry. He would not calm dow. "What's wrong buddy? Mommy's right here. You peed on me."
Then he began to laugh uncontrollably. I joined him. There we sat in the dark, in the bathtub, covered in pee, cracking up. I thought it was a great motherhood moment. I kept asking him, "Are you awake? Are you awake? What's your name?" He just keep giggling. Then it turned back to crying, "Don't let them use the cannons!"
'What cannons?"
He yelled and cried, "YOU DON'T KNOW THE CANNONS? HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW? THE ONES AT SCHOOL? YOU KNOW THE ONES THAT THEY SHOOT OUT?"
I almost called PPS (Parent Protective Service), but then I remembered there was no such thing.
And then he finally snapped out of it. I guess he woke up. He stopped crying and asked for a tissue. I got the bath going for him. He asked when his Dad was going to be home. He didn't remember the laughing or the pee. Some special bonding moment we shared. Now it appears that it was more of a freak show.
I've heard of night terrors, but WHAT WAS THAT? Twilight Zone? Alien Invasion? Anyone had an experience like that? Please say yes.
P.S. Something similar to this incident happened once before.

Yep, I think I had that with 2 of my 3 kids. It's my favorite.
Did you ever see that youtube video where the kid is drugged out from the dentist and says, "Is this real life?" :)
Yes! Olivia was pretty turned upside down when we took her to Israel and she woke up in the middle of the night crying from a nightmare. She seemed awake but was totally unresponsive to our questions about what was wrong and what the dream was about. Then she peed...so not fun. We changed her and put her back to bed. She had no recollection of it the next day...crazy!
nope- your kiddo is just a freak. That's all i got for you friend.
Daniel does this every few weeks. He's never peed on my, but he has gone in the toilet, then walked around talking to us like he was a drunk puppet on strings, then headed back to bed. It was really weird. Other times he cries and usually we just tell him to lie down and he goes back to sleep but he never really woke up. It's freaky. I just hope he doesn't walk out the front door. That's hilarious you just sat in the tub soaked in pee.
