A Free Book

Pin It Now! ***WINNER! Random.org picked comment #5. That's Rachel at A Steady Rain. Congrats. Sorry to the rest of you desperate mamas. Guess you have to go order it the old fashioned way.

I am going to give away another copy of my book. Want it? Here's how you can get it without breaking into my garage. (Leave a comment for each entry. Total of 5 entries possible.)

1. Leave a comment and tell me who the book is for.
2. Follow this blog or state that you already do and that it is a good time.
3. Follow me on twitter. You can delete me later if you don't like my tweets. Seriously, don't just put me in your C-list on TweetDeck. What's the point? End the relationship if it's not going anywhere.
4. Tweet about this giveaway: Author @wendyhagen is giving away a copy of her book Totally Desperate Mom. I like free things. http://bit.ly/bJH4qO #giveaway
I won't be legalistic about the tweeted language. You can change love to like or loathe or whatever you want.
5. Do 10 push-ups or 50 sit-ups. Seriously. Don't lie.

The winner will be chosen via a pregnant-chad voting system on August 10th.

**To read what people are saying about the book or to order it go to my book website.

This is author/speaker Debbie Alsdorf who told me to write the book two years ago after she heard me speak at MOPS. She even told me to call it Totally Desperate Mom because it was a term I used in my talk. Therefore, if you do not like my book please direct all your emails to Debbie. Thank you.

I am a desperate with a teen and tween, but by the time you write that book it will be too late for me! But I love your funny blog, and would give the book to my desperate sis-in-law, who has two under 4.

Sherri said...

Oh, and I DO follow already! But I don't tweet....probably can't figure it out.

Sherri said...

....but, I DID do the pushups!

I selfishly..would keep the book for myself. I would even offer up a review for it (on my own blog). I think I qualify as a desperate mom!

I follow your blog with my google reader, and have since finding you months ago (at a blog hop party), despite my lack of commenting. Does that count?

To be fair though, I officially follow via the google follow gadget.

P.S. I do love your blog! It's always a fun read!

I will buy a couple but it would be cool to have a free one too. I did 20 push ups and follow your blog and I share it with others too.

Well, the book would be for me (a mother of 3 BOYS!, and a daycare provider for 3 GIRLS!!). I have at times seriously thought I had lost my mind (maybe I have since I take care of 6 kids everyday!).

I did 60 sit ups this morning at the end of my jog! Does this count! Not sure I could them again!!!

Yup, I really, really want one and I've been a follower for a couple of months. Unfortunately, I don't tweet. Nor do I do push-ups or sit-ups. If I did, I wouldn't be able to move my arms enough to type or hold myself upright at the computer. It would be bad. Really bad.

At one point, though, I held the record for most push-ups in a minute (64 - real push-ups, not girl ones) and just barely missed the mark on sit-ups in a minute. Even though it was 22 years ago, will that count?

GunDiva said...

I forgot to tell you that your blog's a good time.

And I'm even telling the truth about that.

And your kids are adorable :)

Mine used to be. But now they're teenagers.

Hi Wendy! This book would be for me! (I usually check in your kids at Saturday night service)

I will totally follow this blog, but I don't "Tweet" - sorry :( I may just have to figure out how to do it.

I wish I could promise to do the sit ups, but I have a disability - well, that disables me from doing so!

I have 2 young boys. Enough said. Just kidding! But really, having this disability has kept me from doing MANY things most Mom's can do. Never was a part of a "Mom's group", can't do "girls night out", can't escape to the mall, never have attended MOPS, I CAN'T ESCAPE!!! :-/ So....um, ya - I am a totally desperate Mom at many times throughout my day. (geez, sorry for the pity party of 1):D

I will totally do the 10 pushups for it. :)

And I love your blog. Your kids crack me up. Especially Lydia. I still hoot over the poo everywhere story when your brother was babysitting.

This book would be for me first with my funny 2 year old and big cheeked 4 month old! :) Then I'd pass it along to my friend who has a 1 year old!
