I can't even count how many times I've been head-butted by my 3.5 year old. I've had bruised eyes (though I must not bruise easily b/c they never looked like yours and I've been hit HARD), a bruised nose, and MANY bruised and even busted lips. (Oh, and my 1.5yo nearly busted my chin open he hit me so hard ... and made me bite my tongue! My jaw was sore for over a week.)
You'd think I'd learn to keep away, but I swear they're lightning quick, and they have abnormally large heads. (No, really, they do!) :)
Thank you Emily. Shannon, You need a bodyguard. Annett, I have filed a lawsuit. Becky, I have yet to break a nose, but am hoping in the next few years my kids will make that dream come true. Tegan, I never learned to read.
The 2nd photo is real attractive! Haha. I was in car accident and had to have surgery to get my nose put back in2 place. My daughter was 2months old. I was holding here not even an hour after I got home and she slams her head back in2 my nose! Blood came gushing out! Called the doctor and he told me not to even worry bout it???
Welcome friends, family, randoms, lurkers, blog addicts, fellow desperate moms, and Bono. This blog consists of mostly funny stuff that will make you feel better about yourself. Lots of mom comedy, non-Kodak moments, and un-fashion tips. On Wednesdays I write about my life as a former childhood actress complete with posts about how the entertainment business works, actors I met (or stalked), people and animals I worked with, my Hollywood friends, and photos of former teen heartthrobs. And if that’s not enough to draw you in to follow me . . . I have done some amazing giveaways. A rubber chicken, millions of doll hairs, and unlimited supplies of air. Come join the party.

Can you sue?? Oh, I guess not, that would mean the money would just come out of your bank account. LOL. You said it best, the dangers of Motherhood.
Um, that second picture frightens me.
Also, a doctor friend once told me that the most frequent cause of broken noses (in this area, anyway) is toddler head-butting.
We obviously need to rally the moms union for a better compensation package. I'm in.
You didn't read the fine print at the bottom of the contract before you got into this gig, did you?
What I want to know is, how is it possible for a 30 pound toddler to cause so much pain when they step on your toe?
Thank you Emily.
