A Nap for the Totally Desperate Mom

Pin It Now!
Sometimes I get tired. During the day time. I'm sure none of you can relate. Sometimes when I am tired I attempt a nap. I put on a show for the girls and try . . . even though it has really only worked out once in my motherhood life. But I'm desperate so I still try from time to time. Like the other day.

Maybe my body appreciates the laying down even though I don't fall asleep because I am interrupted 96 times in a 45 minute period for various "emergencies." Even if my body doesn't appreciate the rest, I am confident that my hair does.

Anyone else crazy enough to attempt to nap during the daytime or are you a better, smarter mom than that?

Completely understand. And my hair looks amazing like yours does after one of these no naps. I try this in the morning sometimes when the kids wake up for the day BEFORE this certain mother's brain is awake or working (I am NOT a morning person at all and I've usually been up 1-6 times during the night with someone), and i try sooo hard to get shut eye on the couch while they watch cartoons and eat cheerios, but as you said, the 96 interruptions for emergencies doesn't allow for much sleep. I end up feeling more tired than when I started.

You are not alone, I feel your pain. :)

Oh I am with you sister...I try to nap nearly every day! I never really sleep, but I think I doze a little bit. My two-year-old, who actually SHOULD nap and usually refuses, is constantly checking on me, opening and shutting the bedroom door quite loudly. But somehow, after about 45 minutes of this, I do feel better. And my hair sticks up in the back. Anyway -- you are not alone. :)

I can't nap midday unless I have the flu. I wish I could. Good for you for trying!! :)
