Aunt Sue asked me to post this on the blog so you all could continue to pray for Travis.
He was taken to the ER and then Children's Hospital Orange County a week ago because of severe stomach pain. And he is still there. Today the doctors determined that his adrenal gland is not working. He only has one adrenal gland (adrenal glands are chiefly responsible for regulating the stress response through the synthesis of corticosteroids and catecholamines, including cortisol and adrenaline) because one was removed along with his kidney when he was 2 years old - because of his cancer.
They will do more testing, brain scans, etc. Look at the pituitary gland. I am not quite sure what all of this means, although I have been looking on the internet. Hopefully they will determine why it is failing and not simply shoot him up with drugs to mask the symptoms.
And if any of you live near CHOC and would like to visit him, let me know. Aunt Sue can only be there some of the time because she has to be home when Sean gets home from school. Poor Travis is in that hospital all alone most of the time. Breaks my heart. Wish I could be there.

Welcome friends, family, randoms, lurkers, blog addicts, fellow desperate moms, and Bono. This blog consists of mostly funny stuff that will make you feel better about yourself. Lots of mom comedy, non-Kodak moments, and un-fashion tips. On Wednesdays I write about my life as a former childhood actress complete with posts about how the entertainment business works, actors I met (or stalked), people and animals I worked with, my Hollywood friends, and photos of former teen heartthrobs. And if that’s not enough to draw you in to follow me . . . I have done some amazing giveaways. A rubber chicken, millions of doll hairs, and unlimited supplies of air. Come join the party.

Geez....I am so sorry. He is in our prayers.
One of our high school students had her adrenal glands removed just a few months ago. She is remarkably improved. Many of her problems were related to it. I'll be praying. Love you.
