A friend of ours plays for the Raiders. His name is Robert Gallery and he has fancy classic cars. He is large (not in a nutrient way) man, but just for the record... I could take him any time. After school. Bike Racks. Not a problem. He also has a large heart and has planned a charity "cruise" (that's what people with cool, fancy, cars do) to benefit the children of the fallen Oakland Police Officers. Robert will be cruisin' in his old school, totally tricked out car. Here is a picture (of poor quality) of me hanging out in his car's trunk, where I like to hang out on the weekends. Anything for a break from the kids, right?
Sorry for the drugged out look and the poor quality photo. The car really deserves better.
Even if you don't have a classic car come join the fun afterwards at Los Vaqueros Restaurant in Livermore @ 12:30pm. There will an auction with some pretty insane opportunities - especially if you are a part of the Raider nation... including
-Oakland Raiders Training Camp day passes for 6 in Napa, CA to attend training camp and meet some of the players.
-6 Oakland Raider game tickets to the Monday night season opener, along with pre-game field passes and VIP parking.
And if you tell Robert I sent you he will give you... ummm... a high five. And he is really good at high fiving so it will be totally worth it.

Cruisin’ For Our Community – Fundraiser for the Families of Oakland Police Officers
Dublin, CA – Oakland Raiders guard Robert Gallery is using his passion for hot rods and classic cars to give back to the community, in particular to the families of fallen Oakland Police Officers tragically killed while on duty March 21st, 2009. The cruise will be held Saturday, June 6th and will take participants on a 75-mile journey throughout the Tri-Valley area starting in Dublin at the old Mervyn’s parking lot before ending at Los Vaqueros restaurant in Livermore for a car gathering. Gallery will be leading the cruise in his customized 1954 Cadillac Coupe De Ville.
Hundreds of classic 1970 and earlier American classics and motorcycles are expected to join the cruise as well as participate in a special fund raising auction to be held at Los Vaqueros following the cruise. Key auction items will include:
• Oakland Raiders Training Camp day passes for 6 in Napa, CA to attend training camp and meet some of the players.
• 6 Oakland Raider game tickets to the Monday night season opener, along with pre-game field passes and VIP parking.
• Signed Oakland Raider Authentic Game Jerseys, including Robert Gallery, Jamarcus Russell, Darren McFadden, Darius Hayward-Bey
All money raised will go directly to the children of the fallen officers.
The Oakland Police Officer’s Association will assist Gallery in the fundraiser. “The tragic death of these heroes was a shock to all of us who live here in the Bay Area,” Gallery said. “I realize how fortunate I am and I wanted to do something to help the officer’s families. They gave their life for our protection. Giving back to their families is an honor.”
All Bay Area classic car and hot rod owners are invited to take part in Cruisin’ for the Community. Entry/donation fee is $30 per car. All interested parties should gather at the old Mervyn’s Parking Lot at 7117 Regional St in Dublin at 9:30am Saturday June 6th. All entrants will be given cruise directions to follow the route.
The general public is invited to the car show and auction at Los Vaqueros Restaurant in Livermore which begins at 12:30pm.

Thanks for the blog comment and I've answered it on my blog. BTW, I think the pic of you in the trunk really captures the Desperateness of the woman behind the Tales from the Motherhood. It's a loaded picture that makes one scratch one's head and think, hm...one can only impagine why or how she ended up in that car's trunk." Loves Wendy.
Also had a good laugh at that last line of the post. Hope the event is a success. That's quite the freaking trunk!
OMG I just found your blog and am sitting in a puddle of my own pee. You are great! I also have 3 kids, though my last "surprise" isn't so sweet :) Keep on bloggin'
