Jordis is Two

Pin It Now!
My youngest turned two yesterday. We had an Elmo party. Which means I used the Elmo stuff we already had and "decorated" the house with them. And I bought some Elmo plates and napkins. Party on.

Elijah paid for half of this poolish contraption with his own money. He wanted it "for Jordis" so bad. He knew she would just love the basketball hoop.

Jordis was thrilled to stop and pose for this pic.

My crew.

The moms and the birthday girl.

My less than stellar cake decorating abilities were on display once again this year. We could not find a plastic cake topper so I got creative. And I accidentally bought cookie decorating frosting instead of cake decorating frosting. Apparently there is a difference. But what does it matter to a two year old? So what if I put the cake on Elijah's homemade plate from preschool. Don't judge. Just emulate.

Here are all the kids all in one place. Amazing. Food is the glue that holds us all together, is it not?

Lydia and the Larson girls enjoying cupcakes.

Jordis got some dolls from her cousin. She had to stop and check for poop. Party pooper. Just told a dad joke. Ouch.

Hahahaha! That party pooper joke is funny. :)
Also, I did a birthday party for my son when he turned 3 by using Mickey Mouse stuff I had. :) Hey, it turned out cute! And my cake was ALMOST as good as yours!

My niece just turned 2 this weekend too! Hers was a pool party....three kiddie pools, about 25 "adult" supervisors, and 20 or so kids (mostly under 5).

My favorite moment was when the "strange, brown object" was noticed in one kiddie pool by my 4 year old nephew......favorite moment, since I'm the aunt and not the mommy!!

Loved your cake....I don't judge cakes, they are HARD!! Looks like the bday girl had a great day.

That looks like so much fun! I almost wish sometimes that my kids (or even myself) weren't born in the winter so we could have a party with a pool!

I think the party looks perfect. :) The picture of all three of the kids is adorable! They all have such big personalities.

Happy birthday Jordis!

I'm just going to say what everyone else is thinking.

That takes skillz to make cakes that ugly. I'm serious. You impress me with your cake wrecks.
