Disneyland in the Rain

Pin It Now!

What's an 8-day road trip to So Cal with your 4 year old without a stop at Disneyland? Especially when it's free. Thank you Carrie and Bobbi for that action!

Thunderstorm? No big deal. We ponchoed and rain booted up before we headed to the most expensive place on earth and we were ready to go. We were not forced to by a $300 poncho with Mickey on it. Our $7.50 beauties from the drug store worked just fine!
We went with Bobbi, my former UCLA dance teammate and dear friend, and her 3 year old boy, Chris.
This photo was taken before Chris punched Tigger in the nose.

5 minute wait to see Rapunzel. She was Lydia's favorite. It was their first time meeting.

Have you ever seen a line this short to meet the princesses? No, you haven't. Unless you are crazy and sprint there when the park opens or dodge lightning to get there.

Lydia and Cinderella talked headbands. Lydia is wearing her self-proclaimed "Disneyland headband" made by Erin at Haute Blue B.

And the line for Tinkerbell and that other fairy (felt sorry for her - she was so overshadowed by Tinkerbell) was ridiculous. One person ahead of us. Not trying to cause you to be jealous or anything. But admit it, you are totally jealous right now.

I am certain that Tinkerbell, who was practically wearing a leotard, was stoked to get a big, wet, poncho-hug from my Lydia. Lydia told everyone that Tinkerbell's legs looked fake (because of her tan tights).

Have you ever been to Disneyland in the rain? I highly recommend it. Pin It Now!

I can't wait to take my kids to Disneyland. Cars Land is coming out in 2012 so that's how long I'm gonna have to wait. It looks like you all had fun. You got lucky with the lines!

we did disneyworld in the rain, (and cold) but were excited to not wait in line at all. several times we got off rides and right back on again! we had packed rain ponchos from the dollar store ~ by the end of the day they had holes in them but we were nice and dry.

i love how your sweet girl looks deep in conversation with all the fairies. i can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to find them just as magical.
