Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day! While we still have a long way to go, I am so thankful that my kids are growing up in a world that looks vasty different than the 50s and 60s in terms of racism and equality. My children are aware that people have different colored skin than them, but they have no conception of how that would make someone any better or worse than them. Just different. No big deal.
Actually, my son has told me that he wishes he were black because he is so inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. Michael Jordan. He is thankful for Jesus and Michael Jordan.
But on behalf of the Hagen family - thank you to Martin Luther King, Jr.!

Welcome friends, family, randoms, lurkers, blog addicts, fellow desperate moms, and Bono. This blog consists of mostly funny stuff that will make you feel better about yourself. Lots of mom comedy, non-Kodak moments, and un-fashion tips. On Wednesdays I write about my life as a former childhood actress complete with posts about how the entertainment business works, actors I met (or stalked), people and animals I worked with, my Hollywood friends, and photos of former teen heartthrobs. And if that’s not enough to draw you in to follow me . . . I have done some amazing giveaways. A rubber chicken, millions of doll hairs, and unlimited supplies of air. Come join the party.

Happy MLK Day! I LOVE it! :) Thank GOD for people like Dr. King who stood up for truth, justice, righteousness, equality, unity, and love. (and for folks like Michael Jordan whom without King would have probably still been a 2nd class citizen)
