The other day was a doozy in the motherhood. Elijah, my seven-year-old, knew it.
This was our conversation in the car:
"Mom, is it hard being a mom?"
"What do you think?"
"I don't know. I've never been a mom."
"Yes, Elijah. It is. Some days are harder than others and today was a hard one. But it is the greatest job in the world and totally worth it. But it is also the hardest job in the world."
"Harder than being a navy guy who gets killed?"
Well crud. You got me. Thanks a lot kid.
Happy Memorial Day!
Thank you to all those military folks who make being a mom look easy.

Stay tuned for "Shop for Jop!" Working on that post and all the little details.

Welcome friends, family, randoms, lurkers, blog addicts, fellow desperate moms, and Bono. This blog consists of mostly funny stuff that will make you feel better about yourself. Lots of mom comedy, non-Kodak moments, and un-fashion tips. On Wednesdays I write about my life as a former childhood actress complete with posts about how the entertainment business works, actors I met (or stalked), people and animals I worked with, my Hollywood friends, and photos of former teen heartthrobs. And if that’s not enough to draw you in to follow me . . . I have done some amazing giveaways. A rubber chicken, millions of doll hairs, and unlimited supplies of air. Come join the party.

Yeah, today's been a hard mommy day for me, but I prefer it over death. Smart kid!
Elijah is full of wisdom!
This whole weekend has been a hard mommy weekend, but probably not has hard as a Navy guy's weekend. Bright boy you have there!
Leave it up to our young to put things into perspective. Wise little guy!
Somehow those kids just have a way of putting some perspective on things....don't they?
