Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake Spill

Pin It Now!

With a few days left until school starts I wanted to get one more item off our Summer Bucket List. Bake a chocolate chocolate chip cake. Me and the girls got our aprons on and went at it with this awesome recipe for Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake. I let Lydia hold the mixer. Jordis refused to wash her hands (because that is so difficult, isn't it?) so she was to merely watch. I turned my back for a few minutes to get the chocolate chips and . . . watch the video for the scoop on who did what. And I have no idea where my girls get their personalities. Don't blame me.

Despite the loss of some batter the cake was amazing. Like "Get This Out of My House Before I Eat it All" amazing. Kinda like the cake balls. Dang, I gotta stick with the moldy fruit and get away from baking all this delicious junk.

Now, that looks amazing. So pretty and with such a great story to it... right? Love how you document what really happens in life. Always makes me smile. :)

That is why the thought of having my kids help me in the kitchen gives me an anxiety attack hahaha

how cute are your girls!!

my favorite is that jordis wouldn't wash her hands, so she got to watch...
you have to know this made me love you more. my o.c.d. really shines in the hand washing department...it's not pretty, but it's clean.

the cake does look amazing, is it as tasty as your cake pops?

i like that you are doing a bit of vlogging here.

very inspired.

and that cake looks AMAZING. although when it is covered in mold (when, not if) i assume it will lose a bit of its appeal.

Yay! Despite the mess, all is well! My daughter's bday was on Friday and she wanted a cupcake decorating extravaganza. There were sprinkles and icing everywhere!

My 5 year old has learned that if we bake anything yummy, mommy will eat most of it when he goes to bed. He will innocently ask the next day "mom, can I have just one chocolate chip cookie please?" and I have to guiltily look into his precious eyes and tell him mommy ate all 8 cookies last night! We now have a deal that I will put a few into a baggie that I promise not to touch...

I love how proud Jordis is to be able to say that it was NOT her fault (and the finger wave is too funny!).

I like coming here b/c it feels like the (chaos) life occurring in the room next door.

I so would have licked that chocolate off the floor. I typed it and own it.
