Fancy Nancy Date

Pin It Now!
Lydia came home from school with a library book yesterday that she "didn't even want." But then I read it to her and she liked it. Fancy Nancy. You know her? That's a fancy way of asking if you are familiar with the Fancy Nancy books.

Then Dad came home and gave me a gift card to one of my favorite restaurants that someone had given him. The Fancy Nancy book was about Nancy getting her parents all fancied out and going out to dinner. So that's what me and the girls did. They picked out their clothes and accessories and picked out a dress for me and we were off for our Fancy Nancy Date.

Lydia's fancy do. I put her hair in a half pony tail and used bobby pins to fancy it out. Pin that friends, pin that.

Garage photo shoot.

We read the book at the restaurant and five times at home.

We did art and counted how many letters were in each family member's name.

We had fancy dessert.

When we left the restaurant they were no longer cooperating in any picture taking.

The end.

If Mommy Blogger/writer doesn't work out as a career, I'm feeling like you could be a hairstylist!

We love us some Fancy Nancy here in the HughesZoo. If Lydia decides that she does, in fact, like the Fancy Nancy, you can buy *easy* paperback readers at Walmart for pretty cheap-- fun way to practice reading!

I'm gonna have to get a copy of that particular FN book-- what is the story title? Maybe we'll recreate your Fancy Nancy Date. :)
Thanks for the fun idea!
