My Blog is Lovely!

Pin It Now! I won my first Blog award. And it's not an ugly one - it's a lovely one!

I am not sure really sure what it all means since I am new to the blogging world at large, but I am an attorney and I know the law. I am pretty sure if Microsoft hooks up with Intel then I will be receiving a check in the mail for this award in the amount of zero point zero dollars. So exciting! If you pass my blog link to your friends or post a link to my blog on your blog then our blogs will be friends and you too will receive a check in the mail for the same amount!

A shout out to Cynthia at Crumbs in the Minivan for sending this award my way. I found her when I was searching around the internet during my "Dirty Minivan Competition." When I saw the title of her blog I knew we could be bloggy friends.
So here are the rules to this Blog award:
1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.
2. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you have newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
3. Wait patiently (for 100 years) for your check to come in the mail. (Wendy here - I added that part. Is that so wrong? Does it negate my award?)

Number 1: Okay, so I accept the award. My acceptance speech is as follows:
Thank you. Thank you to my little people. Elijah, Lydia and Jordis.

Number 2: I am soooo not an email forwarder - especially when it tells you how many people to forward it to if you are a true friend or if you really love Jesus. I liken this type of bloggy behavior to that. BUT because I am a rookie and I like receiving hate mail I will oblige - somewhat. Oh yeah, and Miss Crumbs in the Minivan gal is Canadian and I am not sure what a Canadian will do if you don't respond to their lovely awards. Perhaps get violent, eh?
I am going to post a link to 3 other blogs that I like. Don't worry winners - you don't have to do jack squat about this. Just do a squat, would you? For your own health. (Just know you will be breaking the chain, you will receive no underwear or flip flops in the mail and someone might die.)

1. Lorri Steer's "Terrible and Beautiful"
I like Lorri. We knew each other (but not really well) when she lived up here and went to my church (I say that as if I own the place. I do.) But we have since connected because of our blogs.
She moved to Colorado and within 8 weeks of settling in to her new digs, looking for friends, a church home and a good bagel shop... she found out that she had stage 3c (next to terminal) breast cancer. This is her story (if only I could hire that guy that does all the movie trailers to say that on my blog.)
2. Jenny on the Spot's "Mom Fail"
I like Jenny even though I don't know her. She is quite wacky. And she likes to dance. And she just got her braces off. Wacky, braces, dance. Meets my standards. Her new blog "Mom Fail" touts "If at first you don't succeed, you might be a Mom." You might also find a post from me on there!
This is not a newly discovered blog, but I think it is cool. She aims high - this is her tag line on her blog: How God is using me, stay-at-home Mom to save the world. Shoot I am just a stay-at-home Mom trying to save... trying to get a hot shower every so often. I love Amy and her heart from the lost, the hurting, the broken, the orphans, the widows, the hungry. One of my favorite verses is James 1:27
"Religion that our God and Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

And here are some photos because when I started blogging my husband told me that a good blog is funny and has a lot of photos.
It's our latest family photo shoot. And as usual...at least one child would not cooperate. Who do they think they are... kids? I should have put them in that modeling class that so prepared me for my modeling and runway career.

Hey, nice award! *grin*

And no, we Canadians won't come down there and get all Pulp Fiction on your butt.

Oh, I didn't follow the rules, either. What fun is life if you follow all the rules?

Great photo shoot!
