Elijah's 6th Birthday

Pin It Now!

No "Confessions of a Childhood Actress" post today because it is my son's 6th Birthday!
From barely any hair . . .

to long hair (didn't have his first haircut until he was 2!) . . .

to his first haircut . . .

to long hair . . .

to a shaved head . . .
to recovery from the shave . . .

to this morning's shave.

And then there are the things you have been into:

From Elmo . . .

to Switchfoot . . .

to Star Wars . . .

To The Hobbit . . .

To Narnia . . .

To basketball and Michael Jordan . . .

I've loved all of it - except when you finger painted with your own poop. That was probably a low-light of the journey.

Thank you for thinking the birthday cake I made for your birthday is award winning -- without thinking the award is coming from Cake Wrecks. Oh to be six again and not recognize when someone has made a really ugly cake.

Happy birthday to my sweet boy who has a heart that makes me smile. If you are new to the blog check out the label "Elijahisms" and he will make your heart smile too. Off to party!

Wowza's Happy Birthday Elijah! I know we haven't met yet, but your mummy is the best (whom you know) and you are very blessed. Enjoy your day!
(PS mum, a Warriors jersey? really?)

Malik,
Today he chose his Warriors' gear. But Bulls are his #1 team. Never mind that it is freezing and pouring down rain here. Shorts and a tank/jersey.

Happy Birthday Buddy!!! I can't believe you are 6...how time flies. Awesome job on the cake Mom! Some of best memories are all the homemade cakes my mom made for me as a kid, in fact I still have to yet to have a store bought cake on my birthday..no one can replace all the wonderful things a Mom makes special for their child no matter how unpretty you may think-He will remember all of this forever. Thanks for being a great inspiration to Mom's, Moms-to-be and women everywhere!! Love Ya girl!

Awww, hope he had a great birthday! He is so adorable and I LOVE how he gets so into different things. And that pic on the tractor is too precious for words.
